Chicago
Chicago's chess scene runs from the Chicago Chess Center's weekly US Chess-rated events in the Loop to a fast-growing social circuit of bar, brewery and cafe meetups. Newer community clubs in Pilsen, Logan Square and West Town draw younger crowds, and the city still has its 1957 lakefront Chess Pavilion at North Avenue Beach.
